About The Region

"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

Welcome to the Pacific Region
Beta Pi Epsilon Chapter, Heald College


Regional Coordinator Charlotte Toguchi, officially chartered
Beta Pi Epsilon Chapter of  Heald College on September 8, 2006.  

The Phi Theta Kappa charter plaque was presented to Evelyn Schemmel, Heald College Executive Director at the beginning the induction ceremony.   Beta Pi Epsilon inducted eighty-four members.  Lead Chapter Advisor, Tom Simon, and Co-contact advisors Primo Castro, Phyllis Miyamura, Sherry Fieser
oversaw the induction ceremonies.  

Also in attendance and welcoming the new chapter members was  Pacific Regional President Scott Pirscher of Alpha Kappa Psi and Chaper President of Alpha Kappa Iota, Dee Bordaje. 
All the chapters of the Pacific Region welcome Beta Pi Epsilon into the Pacific Region.
